It is time to enter the Rename the Requiem Project contest. You have the chance to shape the future of Meridian 59 by giving the proposed sequel a new name. Hopefully, with your help, the new name will help give life to the project and keep the momentum going. Please refer to the news article March = Kaput & Requiem = Name Change for how this idea got started. It's easy to enter, just follow the three steps below! Step#1: Enter! Starting today, Thursday, February 24, 2000, everyone will have the opportunity to submit his or her suggestion for a new project name. Entries will be accepted through next Thursday, March 2, 2000. Late entries will be disregarded! Rules: Keep your suggestions original (don't mention Meridian 59). Try to remain mature please - no vulgarity, etc. Only serious entries will be considered. Include a brief explanation as to why your suggestion is significant and should be chosen. A valid e-mail address must be used when submitting your entry! Only one entry allowed per participant. Submit your suggestion now! (Link Disabled on 3/2/00) Step#2: Vote! Once all of the e-mail suggestions have been received, the guys at Asylum One will painstakingly dig through the entries and pick out their favorite top five. I'm sure this will be a very difficult task, but it must be done! If all goes as planned, on Friday, March 3, 2000, you will notice a new poll on the main page that will allow everyone to cast his or her vote for their favorite new project name. This poll will run for one week. Step#3: Win! The winner, as nominated by the wonderful Meridian community, will receive a CDNOW.com gift certificate for $25.00 (courtesy of Gilroy) redeemable for their favorite music and/or video.
