What changes have been made to Meridian 59 by Near Death Studios?

Weaponcraft
Fencing
Moved from level 4 to level 3.

Mace Fighting
Moved from level 2 to level 1.

Scimitar Wielding
Moved from level 3 to level 4.

Short Sword Fighting
Added Skill.
Short Sword's Damage/Accuracy are now determined by this skill, instead of Fencing.

Faren
Blast of Fire
Added Spell to level 5.
Similar to the pre-liberation Touch of Flame.
Sold by Maleval.

Explosive Frost
Added Spell to level 4.
Similar to the pre-liberation Icy Fingers.
Sold by Maleval.

Icy Fingers
Moved from Kraanan to Faren 2.

Mana Focus
Spell modified to allow for more attack spells to be used in the future.
Gives bonuses to the new Faren attack spells.
Mana Focus is now a bit more potent for Fireball and Lightning Bolt.
Qor attack spells are unaffected by Mana Focus.

Resist Shock
Moved from Kraanan to Faren 3.

Ring of Flames
Moved from level 4 to level 5.

Sandstorm
Fixed Sandstorm and Winds to actually ruin ranged weapon shots. The spells now have a chance, based on spell power, to disrupt shots. Gives a message and takes ammo from the player.

Shocking Fury
Added Spell to level 3.
Similar to the pre-liberation Zap
Sold by Maleval.

Winds
Moved from level 2 to level 3.

Withstand Fire
Moved from Kraanan to Faren 2.

Jala
Civility
Added Spell to Level 2 Jala.
Reagents 1 Ruby and 1 Mushroom.
Effect hinders Faren. Requires 30 hp to cast.

Conciliation
Added Spell to Level 2 Jala.
Reagents 1 Ruby and 1 Elderberry.
Effect hinders Kraanan. Requires 30 hp to cast.

Disharmony
Added Spell to Level 4 Jala.
Reagents 1 Ruby.
Effect hinders Jala. Requires 30 hp to cast.

Invigorate
Added Spell to Level 1 Jala.
Reagents 1 Diamond and 1 Edible Mushroom.
Increases vigor regean rate.

Profane Resonance
Added Spell to Level 3 Jala.
Reagents 1 Ruby and 1 Herb.
Effect hinders Shal'ille. Requires 30 hp to cast.

Rejuvenate
Added Spell to Level 5 Jala.
Reagents 1 Diamond and 1 Uncute Seraphym
Increases mana regean rate.

Restore
Added Spell to Level 3 Jala.
Reagents 1 Diamond and 5 herbs.
Increases health regean rate.

Sacred Resonance
Added Spell to Level 3 Jala.
Reagents 1 Ruby and 1 Fairy Wing.
Effect hinders Qor. Requires 30 hp to cast.

Truth
Reagents changed to 1 Ruby and 1 Rainbow Fern
Effect changed to hinder Riija. Requires 30 hp to cast.

Kraanan
Armor of Gort
Fixed Armor of Gort to not be quite so uber. It now absorbs less damage.

Create Food
Moved from Shal'ille 2 to Kraanan 1.
Increased the number of items created from the spell.
Reagents changed from herbs to elderberries.
Fixed bug regarding max spell power.

Create Weapon
Added Axe to the list of weapons created.
Better distribution of weapons created.
Created weapon's hit points are based on spell power.

Discordance
Discordance now has a chance to remove each room enchantment individually.
It will remove at least one enchantment from the room if spell is powerful enough.
Has half the chance of removing a Jala enchantment.
Reagents changed from 3 Sapphires to 2.
Casting time changed to 1.5 seconds.

Endurance
Moved from level 3 to level 2.
Increased duration of spell.
Removed Vigor Cost.

Free Action
Free Action now eliminates up to a bit less of Hold's duration if it doesn't resist the spell outright.

Glow
Moved from Faren 1 to Kraanan 1.
Bug fixed so it adds itself properly to automatically generated weapons.

Killing Fields
Made duration relate to spell power.
Reagents Decreased to 3 Elderberries and 1 Orc Tooth.
Increased max damage bonus.

Magic Shield
Incresed protection that Magic Shield gives you.
Fixed bug that prevented text notification when Magic Shield wore off.

Shroud
Moved from level 4 to level 3.
Shrouded items may now be mended.

Qor
Blood Inheritance
Moved to level 6.

Detect Good
Sold by Qor Priestess.
Reagents are 1 Fairy Wing.

Defile
Moved from level 4 to level 3.

Fade
Moved from level 3 to level 2.
Unavailable at character creation.

Gaze of the Basilisk
Bug fixed so it no longer makes you an outlaw for just casting it.

Hold
Hold now lasts a random amount of time based on the spell power.
Hold was moved from level 3 to level 4.

Nodeburst
Fixed Nodeburst to only be castable once per game day as intended.

Poison Fog
Moved from level 4 to level 3

Splash of Acid
Added Spell to level 4.
Similar to the pre-liberation Acid Touch.

Swap
Moved from level 4 to level 5.
Requires Riija 4.
Changed Reagents to Yrxl Sap.
Added a post-cast delay of 5 seconds.

Unholy Resolve
Unavailable at character creation.
Requires Solagh.

Vampiric Drain
Previously known as Vampiric Touch.
Changed to an attack spell.
Moved from level 4 to level 3

Riija
Dement
Changed reagents to 1 Rainbow Fern and 1 Web Moss.
Moved from Faren 3 to Riija 4.
Acts as a personal anti-magic aura.

Eavesdrop
Moved from Qor 1 to Riija 2.

Escape
Allows player to teleport to various towns.
Higher spell power means more towns.
Self cast only.
Reagents are 1 Polished Seraphym.

Feign Death
Now removes a previous Morph enchantment. Having both enchantments caused a problem.
As an added bonus, however, you will look like the corpse of the monster you were previously morphed into.

Repaired bug that allowed for stat increases.

Dazzle
Moved from level 3 to level 4

Detect Evil
Sold by Shal'ille Priestess.
Reagents are 1 Herb.
Moved from level 2 to level 1.

Holy Resolve
Unavailable at character creation.
Requires Solagh.
Sold by Bone Priestess.

Holy Symbol
Moved from level 4 to level 3.

Holy Weapon
Moved from level 1 to level 2.

Hospice
Moved from level 4 to level 3

Purge
Added Spell to level 5.
Removes Positive Personal Enchantments.
Reagents are 5 emeralds.
Offensive spell.

Purify
Moved from level 5 to level 4.
Changed to remove only Negative Personal Enchantments.

Rescue
Changed to be more like pre-liberation version.
Added a delay after casting which goes down as spell power increases.

Reveal
Fixed to work on potions, scrolls, etc.
Changed Reagents to 3 Orc Teeth.

Spiritual Hammer
Changed from level 4 to level 3.
Changed to last longer.
Changed reagents to 5 Herbs and 1 Orc Tooth.
Made Spiritual Hammers undamagable.
Can't be swapped, shattered, or weakened.

Game Mechanics
Characters
Lowered Intellect Allowance. Works out to about 2 less levels over all.

Mules
Added the hopefully infamous "Mule Timer".
After a target attacks another player, they cannot be targetted by spells cast by an angeled character for a length of time (approximately 9 minutes).
This is to prevent mule healing/buffing while not elminating the possibilty that an angeled and non-angeled character can work together to fight monsters.

PVP
Removed faction loss when guilds declare war against each other.
Removed outlaw and murderer status changes when guilds declare war against each other.
Increased the effect that punisher weapons have against murderers and outlaws.
Added Psychochild weapon attribute.
Reduced anti-resitance to shock damage on plate.

PVM
Reduced Lupoggs' anti-resitance to fire damage.
Altered Skeleton's resistances.

Quest Engine
Reduced time that the quest engine considers a recent failure to four hours from eight.

Reagents
Rebalanced reagents on spells to be more uniform.
Reagents now have "meanings" within a spell school
Adjusted treasure table to make reagent drops different.
Doubled the amount of entroot berries dropped.
Blue Mushrooms drop more frequently.
Purple Mushrooms drop less frequently.

Spells
Personal enchantments can no longer be cast on others in safe spots.
Casting touch spells makes a sound more like punch rather than cast and fizzle.
Changed it so that you cannot cast spells on another person while holding a token.

Areas

Hid mainland reagents.
Newsglobe connected to the mainland.

Mainland
Hid Dragonfly eyes on the mainland.
Added Firesand as a conditional sale item on a mainland NPC.
