Armor: Necklace of Jala

Description:

This necklace looks like it would fit tightly around your neck. The golden musical note hints that this necklace may be of some value to those that call themselves Bards.

Necklace of Jala
Comments:

Weight: 150 ems

This necklace was created by Psychochild for the NDS re-launch. It gives the wearer the magical skill to cast all Jala spells without the need of a lute--and, by freeing up the hands, allows the character to swing a sword. It also allows the wearer to take damage without being interrupted. Without the necklace, the viabiity of Jala character is limited.

To secure one of these necklaces, see Parrin's 'Necklace of Jala' quest for more information.

Provided below is a story about the Necklace of Jala.

A few days after the patch came out that spawned them in the game, the same Lupogg King dropped TWO necklaces, I got one, and Mana Banana(My pogging partner) got the other.

I have not been impressed with the necklace though, seems like you can only hunt with it up....you can't cast other spells, you can't run, and you can't rest, what is the point of Invigorate if you can't rest on your own? Nobody uses it except for that reason and that it's a quick imper for level 2.

You CAN attack and keep a song up while wearing the necklace, but it's not something I'd get attached to, a Fine Lute is still a lot more potent as far as spellpower. Jala is still a mule school anyways, there are not NEARLY enough combat songs for it to be done on a main character, aside from Spellbane and Jig, which are annoying in the first place.
