Meridianite threatened for demonstration against war on Iraq.
Militia members of the rebel Jonas have accosted yet another Meridianite today. Mr. X {name withheld to protect his anonymity} was staging a peaceful one-man protest right outside Jasper's main entrance when he was accosted by three thugs. He was forced onto the floor and stripped of his "War without end?…Not Me" T-shirt. The thugs then robbed him of all his shillings and promptly rescued to safety. The Rebel Jonas denied any involvement in the incident. However, a Jonas flag was accidentally dropped by one of the attackers at the scene of the crime. Citizens are calling Jonas the next "George Bush" for his pro-war rebellion beliefs. The office of the justicar is looking into this and 2 other similar incidents this week to find any connections. Parrin Aragone, Noted bard of Meridian has won Best Male Singer in the Fantasy Genre of music. Parrin, quoted his musical influences and being Black Sabbath, U2, Bon Jovi and Metallica. It was the first award given to a toon in this Genre. "I am so happy I could cry," said Parrin, "I would like to thank the Great Jala, without whose blessings this would not be possible. My dearly departed baby brother for the inspiration in writing the song, "the orcs took my baby away". My producers at Island Records, The band "Profane Resonance Featuring Kree and Sammie Jo". And most of all the fans that supported me all these years and bought my spells…ummm… songs… YOU ARE WONDERFUL!" Parrin accepted his award along with the idols of rock, U2. [Inset].
