I have had conversations with the guys at 3DO who want this server merge to happen. Please read this with respect, and try to help as much as you can!

At this point, the best thing for everyone to do is to just take a step back. Do NOT e-mail Trip Hawkins. This will only worsen the situation (no matter if your intentions are good). Trip Hawkins is not involved with the day-to-day issues of Meridian. It would not be a good thing if a horde of good-intentioned e-mails show up in his In-box.

Vimto and Kana have been very motivated on this server merge project. Even though the rug has been pulled from under their feet without warning, they are not content to just give up on this. If we have any chance whatsoever of having this project proceed, it must be in terms that Trip will be receptive to.

A substantial list of benefits for the server merge is being compiled in an attempt to persuade Trip to allow the continuance of this project. Let’s all just keep our fingers crossed in hopes that Vimto and Kana can pull this back together for us.

Let it be known here, today, that my respect for these guys have increased tremendously. They have truly tried their best, given it every effort, and gone way above the call of duty. I believe they wanted greatness for this game far more than anyone did. Why? To win the quest of bringing everyone together would be a huge success as a GM, as an Immortal. The downside would be failure; to watch years of your life slowly disintegrate with no good reason and then be blamed.

Do NOT let this happen. Do NOT let their efforts go unappreciated. If you get the chance, you need to tell them how much you appreciate everything they have done for you, and your beloved game. Without all their efforts, Meridian should have started to be fade out after the Insurrection update. But, they didn’t want that to happen. They saw a future in Meridian and decided to fight for us! Yes… US! How many of your in-real-life friends’ can you say would do the same thing? Staggering, huh?

I hope, and pray, that they can pull it off. I, personally, will do everything within my power to support them!

The fight is not lost!
