From the journal of Alzahakar the Sage:

It seems that on certain nights that the tokens, the magical objects with represent immense power in this Meridian, become unusually active. I believe it is on these nights that the Nexus calls to them and causes them to teleport around. Thankfully, usually many, many years separate these events, but you can sometimes see an after-effect as many tokens are teleported around at once. I believe during these times the way to the mana node at the Nexus is best able to be bonded with people.
