Any tricks for improving Fire and/or Archery?

Fire/Archery

When you are ready to purchase Fire and/or Archery, you should be at a level to where going to the Island shouldn’t pose too much of a challenge. You will definitely need at least 30k to 40k to start out with and hopefully you have either a Riija mule or Shal’ille mule … or at the very least, a “hold stuff” mule. You will want to carry only a bow and as many arrows as you can. Nothing else is really required. If you have Kraanan, Mend, Eagle Eyes, Super Strength and Bless reagents are nice.

Bowmaker’s Hut

Hanla will sell you bows and normal arrows. The arrows here are cheap, but that’s okay, we’re looking for quantity, not quality. Usually you can hold about 2 bows and around 300-400 arrows. When you are all packed up, you’ll want to go outside the hut and start killing Dragonflies. There are many safe spots to choose from, you will find your spot in time. Keep in mind that you are not looking for quick kills on these guys just yet … you’re looking at improving Fire and/or Archery. I would stick with this screen until you either have 30%-40% in either or both skills. I would then move out to the Avar Village with your mule (whatever type you have).

Note – Sometimes this screen is packed with budding bowers, but there are plenty of screens with Dragonflies on them. The Hive, The Cliffs, Into The Jungle screens, and Origin of the Kriipa screens all offer an abundance of Dragonflies.

Avar Village

This screen will offer the best of both worlds while doing Fire and/or Archery. First you will be improving off of creatures here. Next you will be picking up what they drop and making money in the process. And on top of all this, you will be able to get the Avar Village mana node.

Here is what I normally do while on this screen: I take 1 bow and about 400 arrows with me. I park my mule on the Trading Post screen so I can drop off anything I need to sell. I then kill only Chieftans. Chiefs drop bows and arrows mostly, but they drop lutes and cash too. All I ever pick up is arrows and bows. When I am full of this stuff, I simply drop off the excess to my mule. When we are both full and can carry no more (this is usually where I run out of arrows) we head back to Wulfgang’s place. I stick all the bows on my mule, or as many as he can carry, and have him go sell them to Quintor on the mainland. When he is done, I take the mule and get my bower more arrows from Hanla. I go back to Wulfgangs and take what is left from my bower and replace them with arrows. Rinse and repeat. Your Fire and Archery will be at 99% with patience and dedication.
