Guild Alliance: What is the bonus or effect for having an alliance?

How do I select guilds I want to be friendly with?

To choose the guilds you would like to be ALLIED with, you must first be a high-ranking member of mature guild with at least 3 members.

High-Ranking means the Guildmaster (GM) and the two 2nd-to-highest rank members - they can choose other guilds on the server and modify their "Alliance" status on the "Guilds" menu.

Other members of the guild can VIEW this Alliance status through the in-game Guild status menu (type "Guild" or go to the Guild option through the drop-down menu), but they can't make changes to it.

The high-rank of the guild can highlight a guild, then place the selected guild in a list of enemies or a list of Alliances. Their official status will be pending.

When a guild is first declared as enemies or allies, a BOLD, PURPLE text message appears onscreen to all the members of BOTH guilds. The Message will be slightly different based on who is reading it. It will be something like this:

"The Trendsetters have declared themselves allies to your guild, the Poseurs!"

Now, the guild that received this message has the opportunity to declare status back to that guild, confirming the change, or they can simply do nothing.

If you are in the guild that was declared towards first, you can scroll through the list of "Neutral guilds" and see some text when highlighting a certain guild that "This guild is ALLIES with your guild". It can stay in this state indefinitely with no cost or effect. This merely shows what guilds are pending a response from your guilds.

What happens when both guilds update their status to ALLIES?

When two guilds become Allies, a message will be sent out to all of the members online in both guilds: "An Alliance has been formed twixt the Hitmen and the Rotten Eggs!".

- Alliance Bonus: These guilds will now see each other on the world/mini-map with a light blue/green halo around the normally blue dot that represents a player.

- Alliance Bonus: Allies can share guild halls! Only members of each guild who are above the lowest rank are able to enter the halls. The password must still be known in order to access the chest. (Note: They will still rescue to their own guild's hall or their hometown if they do not personally have a hall!).

- Alliance Bonus: Allies have lower guild rent dues! The more allies you have, the lower your guild payment/shilling tick-per-day will be! It must be an official alliance declared on both sides to have this bonus.

- Alliance Bonus: Allied members will know when their allies hall is being broken into and taken over! They will receive a message informing them of the allies hall security during a takeover, but the message will be delayed by at least 10 minutes.
