Money Making (hardcore)

This FAQ is for the advanced players who are looking to make a lot of cash in a relatively quick manner. The FAQ also assumes you have access to at least 1 or 2 Elusion mules and a main character with high fire/archery skills.

Brax

Brax offers the best supply of both Dark Angel Feathers and Blue Dragon Scales in the game. In theory, you should be able to gather enough of these reagents to work on spells that require them or just sell them to make a profit. However, there are ways to improve your chances of finding both of these reagents and at an accelerated rate.

You need your main character you will be fighting with. You need a spawn mule inside Brax (this could be an Elusion mule as well) and you need a mule who can carry stuff (also serves as an additional spawn mule). Yes, that requires you to have at least 3 accounts, but we are talking about making some serious cash here.

Once you have your mules safe, they will serve no other purpose than to carry your reagents. I prefer to have one holding BDS and the other holding DAFs. You want to pick a screen that has Narthyl Worms because they seem to drop the most amount of BDS and DAFs. Next step is to just to blast the creatures until you and your mules can'’ carry anymore.

Hints: Illusionary Firewall, Firewall, etc. are great for blowing through the creatures if you want to spend less time fighting. Bait comes in handy too. BDS have sold for over 500 each on 101 and DAFs sell for 150-250 each regularly.

Castle Victoria

This place is awesome for long sword drops. Skeletons and Tusked Skeletons (in the Throne Room) drop a vast supply. So you can make up to 6-10k per trip in CV if all you do is pick up LSs and return them to Quintor. This isn’t the best way to make money, but it’s surely the easiest. Here is the kicker though, you can make much more than you think if you have the right tools at hand.

Weather or not you are actually fighting at CV doesn’t really matter (depending on the time of day or night). All you need is a Rescue mule with Mend or an Elusion mule with Mend. Very simple, very easy. Pick up all the LSs you can carry and mend them before you sell to Quintor. Sure, you may spend 10-20k on orc teeth and sapphires every 20 trips to CV, but you make that money back on your first trip … second trip even at the worst. Each trip you can make up anywhere from 9k to 15k.

Hint: If you intend on fighting at CV, you may or may not need spawn mules. Regardless, the more mules you have, the more creatures spawn, the more LSs will drop, the more money you will make.

Island

Big time cash here! Many different screens offer many different rewards, but I will only go over the 2 most commonly used screen to make money on: OOK and the Avar Village.

Origin of the Kriipa (OOK)

The spawn rate on this screen is fine for someone to solo the screen. However, the more creatures the better in my opinion. So what I do is park 2 Elusion mules next to me while I am fighting. 1 holds ivy circlets and food, the other holds reagents. Pretty nice too, you can get a fair amount of Kriipa Claws for the Elusion mules as a bonus. The idea is simple really, you gather everything up until they are full and sell the ivy circlets to Quintor, sell the food to Herbutte, and sell the reagents to Frisconar.

Hint: Firewall owns this screen. Baiting and Firewalling makes for some fast kills and fast cash.

Avar Village

Commonly, you will use a bow on this screen … at least that’s what I always do. You will need your main (bower) character and 2 Elusion mules. You may want to bring Killing Field reagents, Bless reagents, and more than likey, enough reagents to enchant your bow to Kraanan. A good idea to bring extra sapphires for Discordance … just in case.

A good start is to park your mules on the screen The Clearing of the Trading Post. Take you main and clear the Avar Village. Bring in the mules and park them in a safe spot. As soon as creatures start to spawn, you aggro an avar warrior on your main. If any shamans spawn, kill them quickly. With 3 characters on the screen, the chieftains will spawn relatively quickly. The chieftains will keep you supplied with arrows while you fill your mules up with bows. Sell your bows to Quintor and you will be making between 40-90k an hour easily … by that, I mean you will hardly have any down time other than when you need to sell the bows. While selling the bows, this is about the only time you will ever want the Avar Village screen to reset.

Hope this helps a little …
