The Range Attack on the Mollusk is more dangerous than their close-quarters combat (CQB) melee attack, due to the high "rate-of-fire". Mollusks do not have an "attack" sound effect for either form of attack so be sure to watch your HP carefully.
Be aware: When the player first attacks a docile, non-aggro Mollusk Creature, another one on the map may become aggro and attack the player from afar with their Ranged Attack. This does not always occur.
