Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, we are no longer using Internet Payment Solutions to handle our credit card billing. What this means that if you want your account enabled, you will need to send me an email at subscriptions@neardeathstudios.com with your account name to have your account reactivated. This is temporary until we get everything transferred over to our new billing system.

All the accounts that I activate during this term will be disabled when the switch is complete, and you will need to reactivate with your billing information in the new system.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Fatty, for allowing folks to play in the transition. It's been a lot more interesting now that there are more people around!

Apparently there is still no resolution to the billing issue? I am an old player who used ot use the name BUck Naked. to my surprise, I found Near Death was still running the server for Meridian 59 - I have downloaded the software but after a few emails over the course of the last 3 weeks with no reply I am just about to give up. If anyone is still checking this who knows another way to contact NearDeath, drop me an email!

Thanks!

Got an email- it says that my account was unsuspended - however, I still cannot log in- user name and password is invalid message. I tried re-downloading the client- didn't work. If there was a way to pay I would - been dying to see the new graphics interface

In the world of Everquest, WOW and LOTR to name a few, I think there is still room for Meridian 59 - I mean, I played Everquest for years and the complexity of the game was way too much for me to handle timewise as I got older. Something like Meridian 59 would allow people to play a MUD without having to put in a real time work week just to level a character. To me, the idea has a lot of appeal, but how to successfully market it that way is the problem. Case in point - I love my Incubus CD's , but occasionally, I like to dust off my vinyl and throw some Hendrix on a turntable. Sure I am a tech freak and just as impressed by modern gameplay and graphics as the next guy. But if I am going to game, I don;t want my sueprdigital, Dolby 5 channel surround sound- I want my turntable!

PS- blanket apologies for my final posts on Meridian (10 years ago). Don't know who was around and exactly what I said but I do remember mentioning something about somebody's mother and a Worm larvae mating to produce the 3DO brain trust.....and that may have been the most complimentary thing I said.....

When making requests for new accounts, and IMing/emailing me, be sure to leave the requested account name, requested password, and an email we can associate with the account.

It saves a ton of time, so I don't have to hunt you down.

Also, again, bear in mind that I work from 8a to 6p, and can't always take care of things right away. I try to nab some on my lunch hour, but it's not always possible. Your patience is appreciated.

Huh? So you're making accounts yourself now instead of people registering via the site....?

{spends 15 minutes trying passwords on his accounts on the NDS website}

Ahh crap.

I am officially out of old passwords to try. This is so sad.
